Mobile banking can be a convenient way to access your accounts on the go. According to a recent study,
nearly 90 percent of Americans have a mobile phone and nearly half of those have a smart phone. Thirty percent of all mobile phone users access bank information from their phones. Here’s a look at some of the most popular features with our mobile banking service:
Mobile Banking Benefits
The benefits of mobile banking are numerous, and with our services you can check your balances, transfer funds, pay your bills, get alerts and find the nearest Webster locations. If you haven’t used mobile banking before, here’s a glimpse of what those features look like.

Check Balances
While you’re on the go you can find out your balance to see if you have enough in your available balance to cover purchases.

Transfer Funds
Move money between your Webster accounts while you’re on vacation or away from home.
Schedule bill payments and make sure those important items get paid on time.

Find the Nearest Bank Locations
Search by address or use your phone’s GPS capability to find branches or ATM’s near your location.

Get Alerts
Receive text messages when your balance reaches a certain level — high or low, and in some cases when deposits are posted or other transactions occur. Click here to learn more about our alerts.
Wonderful World of Apps
Apps for those who have an iPhone, Android or Blackberry, offer enhanced ease of use and convenience. With one-touch access from your phone’s home screen you can quickly get to balance information, transactions and more. We’ve gotten a lot of feedback from our customers and know that many of you are looking for Webster’s App. We’re hard at work on this and expect to have ours available by the end of this year!
In the meantime, our mobile banking site, https://mobile.websteronline.com can be added to your phone’s home screen with a few easy steps. This will allow you to access it like an app. Instructions on how to add a website to your home screen can be found here:
Our App will be an exciting new tool for Webster customers and we’ll look to continually improve it. We’ve also got plans to offer Mobile Deposit Capture which will allow customers to deposit checks using their phone’s camera. Good going. Can’t wait for the whole App!
PLEASE incorporate picture depositing of checks. Just did it at another bank and it was awesome! It’s been raining for 2 days and I can’t get to bank. I found the deposit with a picture at another bank… and zip/zip! It was deposited.
Can’t wait for Webster to do this. Website is easy to use and have been using it since it was an infant. Thx
Karen – Thanks for the feedback! We’re excited about our upcoming App as well! As mentioned above, we are planning to have Mobile Deposit Capture (picture deposits) and are hard at work to get that out soon after we launch our App. We’ll keep you and all our customers updated when our new Mobile features are available.

What about an app for Windows phones,any coming?
Brian – great question, we haven’t made a firm decision yet on a Windows app but have been evaluating it. We’ll keep you posted.

Keep in mind
For Mobile Banking, you must be enrolled in Webster Online Services to use Webster Mobile Banking. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile services provider for any charges that may apply for data usage on your mobile device.
Please hurry on the mobile deposit. All my other banks have had it for a while now but Webster Bank is my primary account. This is a must have function.
Steve – thanks for your patience and loyalty. If you can, hold tight, we’re finishing up building this functionality for our App and should have it out very early this summer.
